In the evening of September 5, another historic event unfolded at CapSU Poblacion Mambusao Campus when Mr. Ryan Leonor and Miss Diana Ross Cejas were crowned as the 2012 Mr. & Miss CapSU Poblacion.
From the three competing teams aiming for supremacy in this year's Palarong Pampaaralan, six good looking gents and six lovely lasses contended for the two titles. Every year, the pageant is held to choose the campus’ representatives to the University’s Search for Mr. & Miss CapSU. The winners from this pageant eventually represent the University in the Mr. and Miss PASUC VI pageant.
The six handsome guys battling for Mr. CapSU Poblacion 2012 were Rolo Pauya, Gerald Gallardo, Eriberto Ortida, Ryan Leonor, Bernie Luces and Raffy Ricardo. The lovely girls, on the other hand, were Diana Ross Cejas, Norivie Bayot, Dailyn Dela Torre, Sheralyn Fresno, Jane Inocencio and Sarah Aguirre. Pictorial of the candidates was held in the campus on August 20.
During the pageant, the audience witnessed wonderful students who are gifted with beauty, good looks, talents and intelligence. The candidates paraded on the stage in their production number, swimwear and evening wear competition. During the production number, the candidates showed their support to Department of Tourism’s “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” by showcasing the twelve wonders of the Philippines. The swimwear as always was exciting. Everybody got the chance to see the candidates in their muscle-packed body and whistle-baiting figure. But the Barong Tagalog and Filipiniana-inspired gown worn by the candidates made them more gorgeous and lovely. The candidates also proved that they possess both beauty and intelligence. During the interview, the candidates answered two questions. The first question was taken from their personal data and the second question was a picture on which each candidate would give his/her thoughts.
Ryan Leonor and Diana Ross Cejas bagged most of the awards. Ryan got the Mr. Penshoppe, Best in Production Number, Best in Swimwear and Best in Evening Wear. Meanwhile, Diana Ross got the Best in Production Number, Best in Swimwear and Best in Evening Wear. Other winners of special and minor awards were Sheralyn Fresno (Miss Penshoppe and Best in Interview), Sarah Aguirre (Miss Photogenic), Norivie Bayot (People's Choice & Ms. Friendship), Rolo Pauya (Mr. Friendship), Bernie Luces (People's Choice), Gerald Gallardo (Best in Interview) and Eriberto Ortida (Mr. Photogenic).
For the major awards, Eriberto Ortida and Jane Inocencio won as 2nd Runners-up, Gerald Gallardo and Sheralyn Fresno were the 1st Runners-up, and Ryan Leonor and Diana Ross Cejas were adjudged Mr. and Ms. CapSU Poblacion 2012.
