CapSU Poblacion Mambusao Campus held its 9th Commencement Exercises on March 21 at the Gugma ni Castro gymnasium.
A total of 270 graduates participated in this graduation rites. Of this number, 132 finished with four-year degrees and 138 completed their one-year and two-year courses. From those who were conferred four-year degrees, 20 were Bachelor of Arts major in English; 12, Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science; 12, Bachelor of Science in Food Technology and Entrepreneurship; 18, Bachelor of Science in Office Administration; and 70, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. On the other hand, 91 completed Computer programming (NC IV); 20, Commercial Cooking (NC II); and 27, Food and Beverage Services (NC II).
Among the graduates, seven have excelled in their academic endeavors. They have worked hard to give honor to themselves and to their family. These students were hailed as this year’s cum laude graduates. They were Menilyn Mangco, Mary Ann Lajo, Michelle Gen Geronimo and Geralyn PeƱasales from B.S. Office Administration; Vivian Guzman and Bianca Oro from B. S. Computer Science; and from B. S. Food Technology and Entrepreneurship, Jenie P. De los Santos.
This year’s commencement speaker was Mr. Joselito G. De la Banda, Provincial Head of the Department of Labor and Employment-Capiz. Also present during the affair were Dr. Editha L. Magallanes, University President; Dr, Aladino L. Leccio, VP for Administration and Fincne; Dr. Herminia B. Gomez, VP for Academic Affairs; Dr. Cora F. Navarra, VP for Research, Development, and Extension; and Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, CapSU Poblacion Alumni Association President.
This affair would definitely be cherished by the graduates. They will not forget the day when they came up the stage to receive their diplomas and academic medals. To their parents, it was the moment when their sacrifices were rewarded.
