De los Santos and Vigo, 1st place at University research symposium

by Jennifer Rose Emilia

In this year’s research symposium for students conducted by CapSU RDEC, March 11, two student researchers from CapSU Poblacion took the top spot. They were Jenie P. De los Santos, a BSFTE IV student; and Rodelen P. Vigo, an AB Political Science IV student.

Delos Santos presented her paper entitled “Microbiological Assessment of Street-Purchased Hamburger Beef Patties in Mambusao, Capiz“ while Vigo’s paper was “Professionalism of Government Employees in Military and Local Government Units in Capiz.” De los Santos competed in the technical category while Vigo in the Social Science.

They both stood out from among the student researchers coming from the different campuses of the University.

This double-win for CapSU Poblacion was a repeat of the victory of CapSU Poblacion alumnae Jean Bautista and Marynille Joy Dela Cruz when they also won in the same contest in 2011.
