NEWS: CAPSU welcomes new era with Dr. Linan

Capiz State University (CAPSU) hosted the investiture ceremony honoring Dr. Efren L. Linan as its fourth University President at Roxas City (Main) Campus, Dec. 20.
The ceremony commenced with a procession of CAPSU key officials, dignitaries, government representatives, and Dr. Linan and his family.
Notably, Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for Administration and Finance, warmly welcomed attendees, setting the tone for the ceremony.
Subsequently, Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages, formally introduced Dr. Linan, highlighting his impressive credentials and achievements.
This was followed by Dr. Mary Jane L. Arroyo, Board Secretary V, who read Dr. Linan's appointment.
The symbolic investiture was led by Atty. Ryan Estevez, CHED UniFAST Executive Director, who vested Dr. Linan with the presidential regalia (cap and hood), donned the university medallion, and turned over the university mace.
Atty. Estevez also administered Dr. Linan's oath of office, solidifying his position as the new president.
Dr. Linan then shared his vision and mission, outlining the IMPACT and RISE agenda, a five-year strategic roadmap, innovation ecosystem development framework, and plans for enhancing niche programs.
The ceremony also featured congratulatory remarks from international guests, including Dr. Dondulee Jaisut from Kasetsart University in Thailand and Dr. Jennifer Montero from Comosun College, Victoria, British Columbia in Canada.
CHED Chairperson Dr. J. Prospero E. De Vera III delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing leadership challenges and opportunities. He also shared background information about investiture.
The event was entertained with musical performances by Musikultura de Pontevedra Chorale, CAPSU Main Chorale, and Anrhea Colline D. Salazar.
Dr. Linan's investiture ushered CAPSU into an era of renewed academic excellence.
