In preparation for the upcoming 2025 elections, COMELEC Mambusao showcased the Automated Counting Machine (ACM) to the faculty and staff of CAPSU Mambusao, January 23. It is part of the ACM Nationwide Roadshow that aims to educate voters and let them test out the new machines to be used in the May 2025 elections.
The program started with a short message from Melinda V. Oroceo, Election Officer III of COMELEC Mambusao. She then introduced the lecturer for the event, James L. Ambrocio, Election Assistant II of COMELEC Mambusao.
Mr. Ambrocio shared vital information voters need to know for the upcoming elections. This included the dates to remember during the election period and do's and don’ts while voting.
The highlight of the event was the demonstration of the ACM, where its features were showcased and the voters were taught how to use it.
In the final part of the program, the attendees were given sample ballots to try out themselves. They were encouraged to make marks, scratches, tears, or any other damage that could make their ballot invalid, so they could see whether the machine would detect it.
