The tide has turned in favor of the ALON Party as it made a resounding sweep in the recently concluded Supreme Student Council (SSC) and Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP) elections, April 30.
Steered by outgoing SSC President Charlene Arendaying, the ALON Party surged ahead, toppling the opposing party, ship captained by incumbent FLP Vice President Rovel L. Ladrillo.
Arendaying garnered commanding 630 votes, a giant wave that undertowed Ladrillo’s 90 votes—securing her comeback in student leadership with overwhelming support.
Meanwhile, in the race for vice president, outgoing SSC Vice President Ma. Joan Syvel Ludero also made waves with 583 votes, sinking Marvin Salarde’s 148.
In addition, the ALON Party’s candidates dominated every other position, clinching victories for secretary, treasurer, auditor, public relations officer, business manager, muse, and sentinel.
