This school year Capiz State University- Poblacion Mambusao Campus acquired new instructors who handle English, computer science, food technology, and office administration subjects. The increase in enrollment this school year prompted the administration to hire additional contractual instructors. They are Ms. Felyn Mae Yap, Ms. Juneleen Lago, Ms. Mivy Latigo, and Ms. Michelle Lariosa. Except Ms. Yap, the three are alumnae of the school.
Ms. Felyn Mae Garbe Yap who is currently residing in Poblacion Norte, Sigma, Capiz. She graduated her elementary education at Sigma Elementary School as second honorable mention in 2003. She finished her secondary at Capiz National High School, Roxas City with honors in 2007. For her college, she enrolled at the University of the Philippines- Visayas taking up Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Psychology and graduated in 2011. Ms. Yap is presently handling Eng. +, Eng. 11, English American Literature, Literature and Language Testing, and Literary Criticism.
Ms. Juneleen Magallanes Lago lives at Villareal Street, Poblacion Proper, Mambusao, Capiz. She obtained her elementary education at Mambusao Central School, Mambusao, Capiz and graduated in 1997. She also studied at the former Panay State Polytechnic College, Agri-Science for her secondary. With her desire to obtain a degree, she enrolled at CapSU Poblacion Mambusao Campus taking up Bachelor of Science in Food Technology and Entrepreneurship. She graduated cum laude in 2005. She is presently teaching Food Chemistry, Food Processing I, and Food Quality Assurance.
Another new instructor is Ms. Mivy Villacastin Latigo. She resides in Brgy. Bato-bato, Mambusao, Capiz. She obtained her elementary education at Oton Central Elementary School, Oton, Iloilo; her secondary at Saint Catherine Academy, Mambusao, Capiz; and her college at CapSU Poblacion Mambusao Campus with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science which she just finished in March 2011. She is handling Logic Design and Digital Computer Circuit, Computer Education, Office Application, and Presentation Skills.
Our last newly hired instructor is Ms. Michelle Alayon Lariosa, a resident of Marcelo Street, Mambusao, Capiz. She graduated her elementary at Ilawod Elementary School, Mambusao, Capiz in 1999. Thereafter, she enrolled her secondary at Saint Catherine Academy, Mambusao, Capiz and graduated in 2003. Ms. Lariosa just graduated this March 2011 at CapSU Poblacion with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Office Administration. She is handling Principles of Public and Customer Relations, Advance Keyboarding, Event Management, Office System Administration, Principles of Management and Advance Word Processing with Document Production.
It is hoped that with the addition of these four new instructors students will acquire more knowledge which will make them more prepared in their chosen career.
