BSOA Building Soon to Rise

“The increase of the BSOA enrollees is really overwhelming and it is my duty to give them good facilities and equipment related to their field of study, and to give them satisfaction as well. I am doing this to both old and new students,” Dr. Belleza said.

The overwhelming increase in enrollment in the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) this school year urged our Campus Administrator, Dr. Roman V. Belleza, to propose the construction of a new building. It is the BSOA Building- a two-story building with six classrooms. The proposed building will be located between the Supreme Student Council Office and Computer Department Building with a portion extended to the back of the Computer Department Building.

The enrollment in the BSOA for SY 2011-2012 almost doubled last year’s. “The increase of the BSOA enrollees is really overwhelming and it is my duty to give them good facilities and equipment related to their field of study, and to give them satisfaction as well. I am doing this to both old and new students,” Dr. Belleza said.

The construction of the new building will start in the second semester of this school year if time cooperates and budget is already approved. “The administration is very happy and surprised for this year’s population reached the highest so far in the history of CapSU Poblacion Mambusao Campus. This I believe justifies the need to construct another building in the campus,” Dr. Belleza declared.

Aside from the lack of classrooms, lack of chairs is another problem that students are complaining about. But the Campus Administrator firmly said that chairs are actually abundant and not a problem. He said that the real problem is the student’s behavior and rudeness for they do not know how to use the chairs properly. “If only students know how to value things, there won’t be any jaded chairs scattering around,” he added.

The Campus Administrator is also happy with the donations the campus received from individuals who have been very supportive to CapSU Poblacion. Just this September, Gov. Victor A. Tanco donated 10 new computer sets. The administration is going to buy 28 more sets. These are undergoing the bidding process and soon they will be delivered to our campus.

The Campus Administrator has still many plans for the improvement of the campus. “I plan to continue the shed construction from the gate to the Graduate School Building because the Administration noticed that the students and faculty members need it. I also plan to continue the roof extension in the Food Technology and Entrepreneurship Department as soon as the lumber is delivered,” Dr. Belleza mentioned.

“There was a proposal to purchase equipment for the Food Technology Laboratory amounting to Php117,000.00 and this was already presented during the CapSU Board of Regents meeting. Lastly, I am planning that the flooring of the Computer Science Department Building, Food Technology Laboratory, and Food Technology and Entrepreneurship Department Building will be changed to ceramic tiles similar to the gymnasium,” Dr. Belleza said with a smile when asked about other projects he plans to put up before his retirement.
