To choose a new set of officers of the Supreme Student Council for A.Y. 2013-2014, CapSU Poblacion Mambusao Campus conducted a grand rally and election last February 18.
Two parties were put up: the Clashers Party under the presidency of Stephen Escartin, a AB Political Science III student; and the i3 Party led by Joe Ann Lapso, a BS Computer Science III student.
A rally was conducted in the morning for students to be familiar with the candidates running for the different positions. During the rally, the candidates were each given a chance to introduce themselves and to let the students know their platform. The candidates also entertained their fellow students with the presentation of their talents like singing and dancing.
In the afternoon, the students went to their respective precincts to cast their votes with their advisers as election inspectors. Counting of votes in every precinct then followed and consolidation was done at the gymnasium for everybody to see.
After the canvassing of votes, the following were declared winners: President- Joe Ann Lapso, Vice President- Ramon Launio, Senators (according to their ranking) : Bryan Lava, Eugene Estolano, Kent Bryan Trinidad, Bernie Luces, Rachelle Berano, Rexelyn Tee, Kirsti Shyne Tamayo, Ryan Leonor, Jennifer Rose Emilia, Mary Rose Jamison, Larnes Arraya and Renelyn Laurel. The representatives by department were Julie Mae Loro for Bachelor of Arts, Lorie Ocbeña for Bachelor of Science in Food Technology and Entrepreneurship, for Bachelor of Science in Office Administration were Noime Frias & Wendrith Lacao, and for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science were Princess Joy Bayot, Joecil Mae Tapigngan, Zandra Ponce & Rendon Marquez.
