CapSU Mambusao supports National Clean-up Day

CapSU Mambusao Satellite College (MSC) participated in the National Clean-up Day organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in collaboration with local government units, non-government organizations, academe and the private sector, slated September 17 with the theme “Bayan Ko, Linis Ko.”
NSTP students led Prof. Maddy Gallardo, NSTP coordinator, cleaned the area along Bonifacio Street. On the second day, September 18, the Student Supreme Council led by Prof. Lalaine Ricardo, OSA chair and SSC adviser, together with the Linguists Society, Chi-Alpha campus ministry, Kalingawan Performing Arts Group, and Kapisanan ng Kabataang maka-Pilipino officers supported the activity by tending the area along Jones Quezon Street.
Almost 60 CapSU MSC students participated in this activity that coincided with the annual celebration of the National Clean-up Month every September.
DENR Secretary Regina Paz L. Lopez said that the event aims to boost the spirit of volunteerism and social harmony in the country by collectively engaging various groups and individuals to organize clean-up activities that will help address the country’s solid waste problem.
