Wit and confidence were key to Mr. Justine Dominic S. Esico and Ms. Zarah Anne May Dela Torre’s winning as Mr. and Ms. CapSU Mambusao 2016, August 31.
As part of the annual intramural meet, Capiz State University-Mambusao Satellite College once again held the search for Mr. and Miss CapSU Mambusao.
The 16 official candidates underwent screening with some faculty and employees as part of the selection committee.
The candidates who qualified were Jay Bernaldez, Ronnie Dela Torre, Peter Jhon Alido, Mark Abal, Cyrus Vance Ruado, Justine Dominic Esico, Euber Pimentel, John Kevin Lacuarta, Zarah Anne May Dela Torre, Sha Ira Aranda, Lucille Rebaño, Rena Loyola, Aiza Launio, Thris Ann Galigao, Connie Digan, and Rose Joy Gallardo.
During the pageant, the audience witnessed wonderful students who are gifted with beauty, good looks, talents and intelligence. The candidates paraded on the stage in the production number, swimwear and evening wear competition.
Mr. and Miss CapSU Mambusao 2015 Mr. Redjie Norba and Ms. Jaisa Mae Lozano joined the candidates in an Igorot-inspired production number.
The swimwear competition as always was exciting. Everybody got the chance to see the candidates in their muscle-packed body and whistle-baiting figure.
The Barong Tagalog and gown worn by the candidates made them more gorgeous and lovely.
The candidates also proved that they possess both beauty and intelligence. During the interview, the candidates were given words to which they gave their thoughts.
The fate of the candidates were determined by the jury composed of Dr. Aladino L. Leccio, P/Insp. Edwin Luces, Dr. Eimee C. Potato, Ms. Norlie L. Overencio and Ms. Quennie V. Andaya.
After the preliminary round of the competition, the winners of the special and minor awards were revealed.

Best in Interview - John Kevin Lacuarta and Zarah Anne May Dela Torre
From 16, the candidates were trimmed down to six- three males and three females, who were then subjected to the final interview.
The pageant concluded with the following winners.
