All the 50 AB English students participated in the one-day seminar-workshop on call center management and customer service, July 25, at Capiz State University-Mambusao Satellite College.

The three resource speakers- Ms. Christy Tabanao, marketing and communication specialist; Ms. Arlene Braga, talent acquisition specialist at Telectech Iloilo; and Mr. Michael Loja, teacher at Mambusao National High School, discussed various topics and conducted trainings for the participants.

Miss Braga mentioned her observation that working at the call center is the first option of many fresh graduates before getting the job they really wanted.

“You might come up with an idea that working in a call center company is a job you should first get while you’re still on the process of thinking what you truly want to be, but it’s however a true profession,“ Ms. Braga said.

This activity of the AB Department promotes development of skills in communication.

Prof. Virginia J. Magbanua, AB chairperson, believes that this year’s seminar is a great platform for the improvement and growth of AB students, and it is a helpful tool when they later on hunt for jobs after graduation.
