CapSU Mambusao Satellite College (CapSU MSC) faculty and students partipated in the 10th Future Leaders of the Philippines Regional Agri-Related Work Conference and CDAFF Regional Assembly at West Visayas State University-College of Agriculture and Forestry, Feb.26-Mar. 1.
Renanti Vista, FLP chapter president; Peter Jhon Alido, chapter escort; and members, Jayven Fuego, Nevelyn Jean Aminoso, Richie Magbanua, and Anamae Estores, with Prof. Freden S. Delgado, chapter adviser; and Ms. Edzil Besonia, faculty member, comprised the delegation of CapSU MSC.
The 10th Future Leaders of the Philippines Regional Agri-Related Work Conference and CDAFF Regional Assembly was conducted to gather students who are believed to be future leaders, and also to bring together Deans of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery.
This annual conference aims to provide venue for the students to enhance their talents and skills in the different contests, and most of all, to develop their leadership skills.
With this year’s theme “FLP: Creating a Collaborative Future for Innovation and Environment-caring Development,” students were enlightened to fostering innovation and development without harming the environment. Development is a threat to environment, but the conference has awakened the mind of the participants that development can still be achieved without harming our environment.
During the conference, the participants joined in the different contests. Vista competed in extemporaneous speaking and quiz bowl; Alido in tour guiding; Fuego and Aminoso in table skirting; Magbanua in fruit carving; and Estores in bangus deboning.
Only this school year that the Future Leaders of the Philippines organization was put up at CapSU MSC and for the first time sent delegates to the FLP regional conference.
