AB Department Makes Another Back-to-Back WAMA Win

Bachelor of Arts Department continued its winning streak in this year’s What A Mess Acquaintance pageant, Sept.13. Vladimer Louie Hibionada, a BA English Language first year student, won the 7th crown for the department.
Hibionada stunned his fellow candidates to retain the crown for the department.
Eight males from the four departments took the challenge of transforming into "ladies" which is the theme of this pageants. They were Vladimer Louie Hibionada and Edgar Lacson (AB), John Vincent Fritz Lizada and Jonathan Llorico (BSCS), Dexter Gallano and Cyrele Pestaño (BSOA), Arnel Barquilla and Fernand Ochon (BSFTE).
The candidates’ first appearance on the stage was in their production number.
They were displayed their poise and grace as they walked on the ramp wearing their Darna attire. They also showcased their talents. The intelligence of the candidates was measured in the interview portion.
After the scores were tabulated, winners of the minor awards and the top three were then announced.
Vladimer Louie Hibionada was awarded Miss Photogenic while Arnel Barquilla bagged the Best in Production Number and Best in Darna Attire. Best in Talent award went to Cyril Pestaño, People's Choice award to Dexter Gallano, and Best in Interview to Fernand Ochon.
Before the announcement of winners, Niño Orale took his farewell walk.
This year's pageant concluded with Arnel Barquilla winning as 2nd Runner-up and Dexter Gallano as 1st Runner-up.
Vladimer Louie Hibionada was crowned as the 2019 What A Mess Acquaintance. He is the 7th from the Bachelor of Arts Department to win the WAMA.
The department had a long winning streak since 2012 but ended only in 2017. However, the luck went back to the department last year with the victory of Niño Orale.
Hibionada now joins his predecessors Arnel Vigo (2012), Mark Christian Gayoma (2013), Niño Roseller Lim (2014), Peter Jhon Alido (2015), Krystian Janmarc Frias (2016) and Niño Orale (2018).
