After two years of hiatus due to COVID-19, CAPSU Mambusao is conducting this year's intramural meet face-to-face in full capacity. In the next three days from November 21-23, students will be taking part in various sports, dance, musical, visual arts and literary contests.
This year, three competing teams are battling for supremacy to win the championship crown. The teams are ABTECH Thunders composed of BAEL and BSFT, COMSOA de Maroons of BSOA and BSCS 3, and Code Breaker Tentacles comprising BSCS 1, 2 and 4.
In his opening remarks during the opening program, Dr. Adelfo Z. Virtudazo, satellite college director, emphasized the purpose of holding the intramural meet.
According to Dr. Virtudazo, one purpose of intramural meet is team spirit.
Dr. Virtudazo said team spirit is "working towards a common goal as one team."
Dr. Vitudazo added that through intramural meet students develop leadership skills and camaraderie among groupmates and opponents. He also gave an advice to the students competing in the different events about winning and losing.
"When you win, you should not be boastful and when you lose you should be humble," Dr. Virtudazo said.
Finally, he implored the students to develop discipline.
He shared words from Lou Holtz that "without self-discipline, success is impossible."

Dr. Dangan said that Dr. Kapunan was a fighter. Despite the pain he might have gone through, he continued to serve.
For students competing in this year's intramural meet, Dr. Dangan advised them to play without causing injury to one another.
"Play the game without inflicting pain to opponents physically and emotionally," she shared.
"Finish the three days of competion. Never ever say bad words to anyone," she added.
She made the students promise not to hurt anybody.
Finally, she told the students to thank God and pray for the soul of Dr. Kapunan.
