SSC prexy Luces off to Indonesia

Incumbent president of the Supreme Student Council, Joey O. Luces, will be flying to Indonesia for the student exchange program of SEAMEO.
To improve the quality of education in Southeast Asia, SEAMEO or Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization has embarked on a project titled "Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (sea-teacher Project)."
The project is offered for 3rd or 4th year students whose majors are in English, science, mathematics, and preschool. For one month, student teachers are expected to accomplish observations, assist in teaching, create lesson plans, teach, and reflect.
Luces will be part of the 9th batch of the SEA-Teacher Student Exchange from colleges and universities in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam which started in 2016.
Luces, a Bachelor of Arts in English Language third year student and member of the editorial staff of The Courier, will be deployed to Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto in Indonesia on May 8-June 2, 2023.
