The Capiz State University (CAPSU) commemorated its 21st University Day with a vibrant three-day celebration, uniting students, faculty, and staff from its campuses and satellite colleges in a showcase of academic excellence, cultural heritage, and institutional pride.
Held from March 20 to 22, 2025, the event underscored CAPSU’s commitment to fostering unity, talent, and academic progress across its diverse community.
A Celebration of Students’ Spirit and Talent
The Courier Publication is awarded as one of the best performing organizations during the celebration of the University Day in the campus.

The festivities commenced on March 20 with Students' Day, observed simultaneously across CAPSU’s satellite colleges and campuses.
This day was dedicated to student-led initiatives, featuring dynamic academic competitions, talent showcases, and interactive cultural activities designed to strengthen camaraderie among students.
Main Celebration at Roxas City Main Campus

The heart of the University Day celebration took place on March 21 at the Roxas City (Main) Campus, where university officials, faculty members, and students gathered for a day of thanksgiving, recognition, and institutional pride.
The day began with a colorful caravan, symbolizing CAPSU’s unity across its campuses. This was followed by a Holy Mass and interfaith service, emphasizing inclusivity and shared faith within the university community.
During the opening program, university officials reflected on CAPSU’s journey over the past 21 years, highlighting its achievements in education, research, and community service.
The event also served as an avenue for honoring exceptional individuals and groups through awarding ceremonies, recognizing excellence in academics, research, student leadership, and institutional contributions.
In a highly anticipated segment, Mambusao Satellite College was named Best Performing Satellite College, besting five other contenders, while Burias Campus claimed the title of Best Performing Campus, triumphing over Roxas City Main Campus and Pontevedra Campus.

The celebration continued into the afternoon with the much-awaited Sayawit Contest, where the Roxas City Main Campus emerged as the champion, followed by Pontevedra Campus and the Central Administration Office securing second and third places, respectively.

The final day of the celebration, March 22, extended beyond campus grounds as CAPSU brought its University Day to SM Roxas, captivating audiences with CAPSU PASUNDAYAG—a spectacular cultural, theatrical, and musical showcase that reflected the university’s rich artistic and social identity.
This culminating event featured a diverse array of performances representing the different CAPSU campuses and satellite colleges:
Ambahan and Binanog– Tapaz Satellite College
Vocal Solo (Classical) – Dumarao Satellite College
Folk Song and Creative Folk Dance – Main Campus
Vocal Solo (Pop)– Pilar Satellite College
Short and Sweet Play (Dialogue) – Burias Campus
Vocal Solo (Pop)– Dayao Satellite College
Short and Sweet Play (Musical) – Pontevedra Campus
Lip Synchronization – Sigma Satellite College
Contemporary Dance– Dumarao Satellite College, Main Campus, Burias Campus
Street Dance – Mambusao Satellite College, Pilar Satellite College, Dayao Satellite College, Pontevedra Campus
As the performances built up to their grand finale, all participants came together for a spectacular curtain call, followed by a unity dance, symbolizing the shared passion and pride of the CAPSU community.
The celebration officially concluded with the playing of the CAPSU March, marking the end of an unforgettable University Day.

More than just a celebration, CAPSU’s 21st University Day stood as a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, cultural preservation, and student empowerment.
As the university continues to thrive, this milestone served as a fitting tribute to the collective efforts of its students, faculty, and administration in shaping the future of education in Capiz.
