The academic pursuit for the First Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026 officially commenced as Capiz State University – Mambusao Satellite College faculty, staff, and students convened at the campus gymnasium for the flag-raising ceremony on Monday morning, August 11. The ceremony symbolized the beginning of a fresh year of learning, development, and mutual experiences for all members of the academic community.
To create a welcoming atmosphere, Dr. Ramy Lloyd L. Lotilla, satellite college director, greeted new and old students alike. He sent warm regards to the freshmen starting their first steps in college life, inviting them to take on this chapter with curiosity, resolve, and mind-opening attitude. He also thanked the returnees for their persistence and dedication, calling on them to remain focused on academic excellence while opening themselves to new opportunities for development.
"This academic year is another opportunity to learn, explore, and challenge yourself," Dr. Lotilla said. "Seize every opportunity to engage in activities that will enable you to develop not just your knowledge but as individuals equipped to serve your community and the country.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Lalaine E. Ricardo, the Student Affairs and Services (SAS) chairperson, shared her own message of encouragement.
Gazing out at a gymnasium full of determined and excited faces, she was filled with delight at the liveliness with which the semester started. Dr. Ricardo reminded the students that the enthusiasm they infused on opening day should translate not only to academic pursuits but also to school activities and organizations.
“Your active engagement in school programs does more than improve your skills—it fosters leadership, instills teamwork, and enhances our sense of community," she said. She also urged students to fully take advantage of the support and resources available from SAS to ensure their college experience is both enriching and rewarding.
After the ceremony, students went to their respective classes, while others took time to verify their timetables and get acquainted with their respective departments.
With the commencement of a new school year, CAPSU Mambusao asserts anew its dedication to having a conducive learning environment where students can flourish academically, socially, and personally.
With the new semester about to unfurl, the entire CAPSU Mambusao community anticipates another year of collective achievements, new relationships, and experiences that will forge the future of each student.
