NEWS: University top officials meet with faculty, staff, students ahead of opening of A.Y. 2025-2026

MAMBUSAO, Capiz — Less than a week before Academic Year 2025-2026 officially starts on August 11, key officials of Capiz State University (CAPSU) visited Mambusao Satellite College for the sixth leg of the University-wide pre-opening conference, August 6, holding a dialogue with the personnel and student leaders.
Led by CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan, the Central Administration delegation visited the satellite college as part of the week-long series of consultations aimed at aligning academic and institutional strategies for Academic Year 2025–2026.
Dr. Linan, along with vice presidents and other university officials, presented institutional accomplishments and reaffirmed CAPSU’s commitment to academic excellence, research productivity, and community engagement.
CAPSU Mambusao Satellite College Director Dr. Ramy Lloyd L. Lotilla welcomed the delegation and highlighted the campus' initiatives in student services, instructional improvement, and faculty development.
“This event provides an opportunity to openly discuss the various issues and concerns affecting not only CAPSU Mambusao but the entire university system. As we begin the School Year 2025–2026, it is crucial that we reflect on our institutional roles and address challenges,” Dr. Lotilla said.
He added, “I encourage you to speak up, raise your concerns, and ask questions,” enjoining everyone to actively get involved in the open forum.
Meanwhile, Dr. Linan highlighted key accomplishments from his initial term, including system-wide advancements in infrastructure development, digital transformation, accreditation successes, and faculty capacity-building initiatives.
In addition, Dr. Lotilla reported the satellite college’s recent accomplishments, including the successful conduct of extension activities, students' achievements, and ongoing campus preparations for upcoming academic evaluations.
An open forum followed, where faculty and students raised their concerns and the challenges they face which University officials responded to, underscoring the importance of inclusive dialogue.
Among the officials present were Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Annalie G. Campos, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Leo Andrew B. Biclar, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension; Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages; and Dr. Rossandrew B. Villaruel, Quality Assurance Director; and Ms. Fe Lynn L. Linan, Executive Assistant.
The team is set to proceed to another satellite college tomorrow as part of the remaining legs of the pre-opening conference series. The conference continues to strengthen CAPSU’s readiness and institutional synergy ahead of the opening of classes on August 11.
