In a preventive move to ensure a secure learning environment, CAPSU- Mambusao Satellite College conducted a comprehensive General Training on Security and Safety Awareness, January 14.
The school organized this event to help the staff and security team learn how to handle different kinds of emergencies.
"Since safety and security are not the sole responsibility of the few, they are shared obligations that require awareness, preparedness, and cooperation from everyone," said Virginia Magbanua, in her opening remarks.
PLt Cheril Garolacan led the session on "Awareness of Bombs that Kill lives and Destroy property" (A.B.K.D.), which taught participants how to spot suspicious packages and explosive threats.
This training emphasized that recognizing "red flags" early can save lives and prevent the destruction of school buildings and equipment.
PSsg JC Ombega explained the correct and legal way to perform an Arrest when dealing with individuals who break the law on campus.
These lessons focused on using the right procedures to keep both the security officers and the public safe during a confrontation.
All of these sessions were designed to make sure that any security problem on campus is handled quickly, safely, and correctly.
"With the new information updates, additional knowledge and skills gained while having the demonstration, I do believe and assured that more secured and peaceful environment will be filled in this campus," concluded Dr. Lalaine E. Ricardo, SAS Chairperson.
Through this successful training, the university remains committed to building a culture of vigilance and protection to ensure the campus stays a secure and peaceful place for every person.
