Affle John Leonor, former three-time Editor-in-Chief of The Courier publication from 2013 to 2016, is among the 5,594 new lawyers who successfully passed the 2025 Bar Examinations, as announced by the Supreme Court today, January 7.
According to the Court, 5,594 out of 11,425 examinees, or 48.98 percent, passed the 2025 Bar—a significant increase from the 2024 Bar Examinations’ passing rate of 37.84 percent, marking one of the highest passing percentages in recent years.
Leonor is a Batch 2016 graduate of Capiz State University–Mambusao Satellite College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
During his undergraduate years, he led The Courier for three consecutive terms, marking one of the longest editorial leaderships in the publication’s history.
Leonor’s success adds to Capiz State University–Mambusao’s growing list of alumni who have excelled in national professional examinations.
As a former campus journalist turned lawyer, Leonor’s milestone serves as an inspiration to student leaders and aspiring legal professionals, proving that commitment to both academic rigor and campus service can lead to national distinction.
