Kin F. Sabala and Yeshua Regan M. Pascua etched their names into the history of Capiz State University-Mambusao Satellite College through their remarkable performances at the Regional Culture and the Arts Festival and Conference 2026 held on February 20–24 at the University of Antique (UA).
Sabala made an extraordinary mark by earning not just one, but two gold medals for outstanding performances in Oral Interpretation of Poetry and Dramatic Monologue. Competing against eight formidable contestants from various universities across Region VI, he rose above the competition and emerged victorious in both categories.
His double-gold triumph sets a new milestone for CAPSU–Mambusao, making him the first student in campus history to win gold and represent the campus in the national level. His success reflects his amazing talent in speaking and acting: drawing all eyes to him the moment his name is called on stage and being able to embody any character he portrayed impeccably.

Meanwhile, Pascua delivered a commendable performance in the violin playing competition, securing fifth place among skilled musicians from across the region.
Fresh from completing his student exchange program at Universitas Purwokwerto in Indonesia and being back in the Philippines for only a short time, he nevertheless rose to the occasion. His achievement demonstrates both technical proficiency and artistic expression, contributing to the university’s impressive medal haul and finishing 1st runner up in the overall tally.
Both Sabala and Pascua pursue Bachelor of Arts in English Language. Their achievements not only brought pride to the campus but also highlighted the exceptional talent and dedication of BAEL students on the regional stage.
Together, their accomplishments stand as a testament to the talent and excellence of BAEL students, inspiring future delegates of the campus to pursue greatness in the field of culture and the arts.
