Atty. Leonor, an AB Political Science alumnus, shares an inspirational message with the awardees during the Recognition Program.

Capiz State University (CAPSU)-Mambusao Satellite College celebrated student achievements during its Recognition Program, honoring awardees for their academic excellence, dedication, and perseverance throughout the academic year. The program was held on June 17, 2026, at the campus gymnasium.
The program opened with the welcome remarks of Dr. Ramy Lloyd L. Llotila, Satellite College Director, who emphasized that the celebration was not merely about awards and honors but also about recognizing the hard work, determination, and commitment that students demonstrated throughout the academic year.
He commended the awardees for their perseverance in overcoming challenges and pursuing excellence, noting that their achievements reflected countless hours of dedication and sacrifice.
Addressing the non-graduating awardees, Dr. Lotilla encouraged them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of success, reminding them that they had already shown great potential.
“To our non-graduating awardees, your journey is still unfolding, yet you have already proven your potential,” he said.
He also congratulated the graduating awardees for reaching a significant milestone, recognizing the sacrifices and dreams that brought them to this moment.
“As you prepare to exit the portals of CAPSU, remember that you are the standard-bearers of our vision. Your awards prove that you are ready to advance excellence in the professional world,” he added.
Another inspiring message was delivered by CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan, who emphasized that recognition extends beyond academic achievement. While excellence in the classroom is worthy of commendation, he noted that true success is reflected in the character and values students cultivate throughout their educational journey.
“You are not being recognized merely because you excel in your classes. You are being recognized because you have demonstrated the qualities that will shape the future and that is... resilience, values, determination, leadership, creativity and integrity,” he said.
The program also featured an inspirational message from Atty. Affle John L. Leonor, an alumnus of the Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science program.
Serving as the inspirational speaker, Atty. Leonor reminded the awardees that their achievements were not theirs alone but were made possible through the sacrifices and unwavering support of their families and loved ones.
“You will be given recognition for your excellence in academics and other extra-curricular activities. Yet your recognition is not only your exclusive success. You do not walk this path alone. This is also the success of the people who work behind and endeavor to support your education,” he said.
Atty. Leonor also underscored the importance of college experiences in shaping students for life beyond the university, emphasizing that excellence is developed through consistent learning, critical thinking, and responsible decision-making.
Quoting Aristotle, he reminded the awardees that “Excellence is a habit.”
The event reached its pinnacle with the conferment of awards and recognitions upon outstanding graduating and non-graduating students, celebrating their excellence in both academic and non-academic pursuits.
Another memorable highlight of the program was the Pinning Ceremony of the graduating students from different courses, symbolizing the culmination of their academic journey and celebrating the dedication and perseverance that led them to this important milestone.
The event also featured the turnover and acceptance of donations from the Supreme Student Council and Senior Class Organization, highlighting their collective effort to give back to the College and contribute to its growth and advancement.
The program concluded with a message from SAS Chairperson Dr. Lalaine E. Ricardo, who emphasized that every achievement is the result of collective effort and support from those who contribute to a student's success.
“It is said that success is not a solo journey—it is a collaborative effort of hard work and dedication,” she said.
She added that the celebration honored not only the awardees but also everyone who contributed to their success.
The recognition program served not only as a celebration of academic accomplishments but also as a tribute to the resilience, sacrifices, and collective efforts of students, families, educators, and the entire CAPSU community in shaping a brighter future for the next generation.
