Student leaders from various departments and organizations of Capiz State University-Mambusao Satellite College formally assumed their respective responsibilities, while the Supreme Student Council (SSC) leadership, documents, and funds were turned over to the incoming administration on September 16 at the CAPSU-Mambusao gymnasium.
The ceremony, which began at 8:00 a.m., brought together student leaders and representatives from various campus organizations as they formally assumed their duties and responsibilities for Academic Year 2026–2027.
Satellite College Director Dr. Ramy Lloyd L. Lotilla delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the responsibility that comes with student leadership and encouraging the newly inducted officers to serve their fellow students with commitment and integrity.
Department officers were inducted by Prof. Michelle L. Espartero, while officers from various student organizations were inducted by Dr. Lalaine E. Ricardo.
Among the organizations represented during the ceremony were the Society of Arts and Students (SocArts), Computer Science Society (CSS), Philippine Association of Food Technologists–Rho Chapter, Office Administration Society (OAS), Senior Class Organization, Kalingawan Performing Arts Group (KalPAG), Himig Kalingawan, Ecovision Society, DRRM H.E.L.P.E.R., Red Cross Youth Council, Preferential-Options for Welfare Development and Inclusivity (PWEDI), The Grantees, and CM-Gender and Development Advocacy.
The editorial board and staff of The Courier, the official student publication of the campus, were also inducted under the supervision of Prof. Freden S. Delgado.
Meanwhile, the Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP) officers, including its chapter officers and representatives from Sub-chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4, were inducted by Dr. Lotilla.
Following the induction of the student leaders, the turnover of the Supreme Student Council leadership, documents, and funds highlighted the ceremony.
Outgoing SSC President Ms. Janela A. Ponce formally turned over the leadership, duties, and responsibilities of the organization to the new SSC President Ms. Trexy Heredero.
Ponce also entrusted Heredero with the remaining funds, financial records, official files, documents, and properties of the SSC, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding and properly accounting for the organization’s resources.
“To our incoming SSC President, Trexy Heredero, I now entrust to you the leadership of the Supreme Student Council. Continue to listen to the students, serve with sincerity, and lead with integrity,” Ponce said.
“With this, I formally turn over the leadership, duties, and responsibilities of the Supreme Student Council, including the remaining funds, financial records, official files, documents, and properties of the organization. I trust that these will be properly safeguarded, accounted for, and used for the benefit of the student body,” she added.
Ponce expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve the student body and concluded her message by wishing the incoming administration continued success in its service.
“Thank you for the opportunity to serve, and may the new SSC leadership continue to lead, serve, and inspire,” she said.
Heredero formally accepted the responsibilities entrusted to her as the new head of the student council.
“Today, I humbly accept the responsibility of serving as your Supreme Student Council President. I accept this not only as a position, but as a commitment to listen, serve, and lead,” Heredero said.
She also pledged to represent the students with integrity and work closely with the SSC officers to contribute to a better campus community.
“I promise to represent the students with integrity, work together with our SSC officers, and do my best to make our campus a better place for everyone,” she added.
Heredero also recognized the efforts of the outgoing SSC officers and acknowledged the foundation they had established for the incoming administration.
“To the outgoing SSC officers, thank you for your service and for the foundation you have built. We will continue your good work and strive to do even better. With your support and our unity, I believe we can achieve great things together. Together, let us lead, serve, and inspire,” she said.
The turnover formally marked the transition from the outgoing SSC administration led by Ponce to the incoming leadership under Heredero, with the organization’s official records, resources, and responsibilities entrusted to the new administration.
With the formal induction and turnover completed, the newly installed student leaders are set to begin their respective terms of service for Academic Year 2026–2027, carrying the responsibility of representing their fellow students and contributing to campus life. The ceremony underscored the continuity of student leadership as outgoing officers passed on their responsibilities, while the incoming administration committed to building on the work of their predecessors through service, cooperation, and responsible leadership.
